What Are the JustGiving Awards?

The JustGiving Awards are a celebration of what humans can do when inspired by love, driven by loss, or powered the innate desire to leave this world just a little better than when we found it.

All shortlisted nominees will be invited to attend a magical awards ceremony at the Roundhouse in London with their friends, family, and charity representatives.

Why Should You Nominate a Fundraiser?

JustGiving Award finalists are celebrated every step of the way – from nominations, all the way through to the night of the ceremony. And that means your charity is too.

Here’s why you should submit a nomination:

  • Online exposure:Finalist fundraising stories are shared across JustGiving’s social media channels as well as local and regional media, spreading the word about fundraisers’ efforts and the amazing work your charity does. Your charity will be tagged in all posts and your logo will be featured in a short video about your finalist’s story – just like these ones.
  • PR Support:All finalists will have the opportunity to share their story with local media – meaning more eyes on your charity’s mission. You will also receive ongoing support from our in-house PR team. Check out just some of the coverage from last year’s awards.
  • A night to remember:If your nominee is shortlisted as a finalist, you and your team will be able to attend the JustGiving Awards ceremony at the Roundhouse, Camden. Described as the “the most inspiring night of the year,” it’s a chance for your team to get dressed up, enjoy a glitzy gala dinner, and celebrate your charity’s hard work. With photo opportunities, a three-course meal, and celebrity hosts, you’re in for a night your fundraising team will never forget.

Tips for Writing an Award-Winning Nomination

The JustGiving team reads every nomination, so it’s important to make yours stand out from the crowd! When writing your nomination, or encouraging your supporters to submit their own, it’s important to:

  • Include as much detail as possible. What makes your fundraiser’s story stand out from the crowd? What inspired them to start fundraising? What does your charity mission mean to them? Do they have a personal connection to the cause?
  • Emphasize the impact of their fundraising. What impact have they made through their fundraising achievements? It’s not all about how much was raised, but the amazing impact they’ve had on others.
  • Spread the word. Encourage others to nominate your fundraisers (or themselves) for a JustGiving Award by spreading the word on social media. Here’s some handy social media assets to get you started.
